Use this final-day cottage closing checklist to confirm utilities, security, pests, storage and hauling are done before you lock up for winter in Ontario.
On closing day, confirm water is drained, power and propane are off or set correctly, food and valuables are removed, doors and windows are secured, and all hauling and storage items are gone. Photograph every room and note any repairs needed for spring.

The Final Walkthrough

- Water off and lines drained - Hot water heater drained - Breakers off except any alarm or sump circuits - Propane valves closed
