Haliburton and Georgian Bay Cottage Closing: Long-Distance Hauling Tips

Share exact pickup and drop-off addresses, load dimensions and weights, and any road access limits when you request hauling. Longer routes from Haliburton, Parry Sound and Georgian Bay to the GTA usually take three to five hours each way, so book a full day.

Route and Access Planning

- Many cottage roads are gravel or seasonal, so confirm clearance for trailers - Water-access properties need a boat shuttle to a mainland ramp - Winter weather can close Highway 11 and 69 sections quickly

Water-Access Tips

For island and bay-front cottages, move items by boat to a marina first, then hand off to a hauling driver. This is often cheaper and safer than trying to drive down a shared private road in late fall. Start with a [free quote](/get-a-quote) and share your route.
