Marketplace Pickup in Montreal: How to Collect Facebook Marketplace Furniture Across the Island

Marketplace pickup in Montreal means a driver collects the item you bought on Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji from the seller and delivers it to your door. You share the listing address and your drop-off address, get a quote, and a local driver with a cargo van or pickup truck handles the lift, the stairs and the drive across the island, Laval or the South Shore.

Why Montreal Marketplace Pickup Is Different

Montreal has some of the most distinctive housing in Canada: outdoor spiral staircases in the Plateau, narrow walk-ups in Rosemont and Villeray, and triplexes with no elevator. A couch that fits easily in a suburban home can be a real challenge on a third-floor walk-up. That is why a proper Marketplace pickup service plans for stairs, tight turns and street parking before the truck arrives.

Typical Montreal Marketplace Pickup Routes

| Pickup area | Drop-off area | Common items | |---|---|---| | Plateau-Mont-Royal | Verdun, NDG | Sofas, dressers, bookcases | | Laval | Downtown Montreal | Dining sets, mattresses | | Longueuil, Brossard | Island of Montreal | Appliances, sectionals | | Griffintown condos | West Island | Desks, TV stands |

Costs to Expect

Most Montreal Marketplace pickups are priced by distance, item size and stairs. A single couch within the island is usually the cheapest tier. Crossing the Champlain, Jacques-Cartier or Pont Lafontaine to the South Shore, or going out to Laval and Terrebonne, adds time and cost.
